Ministries

Honduras

The Pennyrile family is highly involved in the Honduras Mission. Members have traveled to Honduras on several mission trips and have grown to love the people and the work there. Pennyrile supports a full time missionary, Marvin Rivera and his wife Lourdes, who serve at the Mateo Church of Christ outside of Tegucigalpa. The church is committed to take a group every other year to work beside Marvin and the Christian brothers and sisters at Mateo in providing services and outreach opportunities to their community. These week-long mission trips consist of providing an on-site dental clinic, a construction ministry, teaching support and providing clothing and hygiene supplies for the families served. If you have an interest in this ministry see Barry Webb.

Christian Counseling

With so many stressors in our fast paced culture, a supportive, encouraging church family is a wonderful resource. Another resource for dealing with depression, anxiety, and other challenges is Pennyrile Christian Counseling (located in the east end of the building). Most insurance is accepted and a sliding fee scale is available. Elizabeth Webb, licensed marriage and family therapist, is a member at Pennyrile and provides professional therapy from a Christian perspective.

Community Garden

We plant this small plot behind the church every year.  Most of the harvest is donated to the local food bank.

Book Club
